When US basketball player Alex Owumi signed a contract to play for a team in Benghazi, Libya, he had no idea that his employer was the the most feared man in the country. Nor did he guess the country was about to descend into war. Here he tells his story, parts of which some readers may find distressing.
It was a beautiful flat. Everything was state of the art and it was spacious, too. It had two big living rooms, three big bedrooms, flat screens everywhere. The couches had gold trim and were so big and heavy they were impossible to move. The door to the apartment was reinforced steel, like on a bank vault.

It was 27 December 2010 and I had just arrived in Benghazi, Libya’s second biggest city, to play basketball for a team called Al-Nasr Benghazi. I had stayed in some nice places playing for teams in Europe, but this seventh-floor apartment in the middle of town was something else. It was like the Taj Mahal.

I didn’t immediately notice the photographs dotted around the place – of Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi and his grandchildren.

When I did, I phoned the team president – we called him Mr Ahmed – and he told me how it was.
“The apartment belongs to Mutassim Gaddafi, the Colonel’s son,” he said. “Al-Nasr is the Gaddafi club. A celebrity boxing match between George Zimmerman and rapper DMX is off as the promoter said he would rather make people happy than make money from the fight. In a series of tweets Saturday afternoon Damon Feldman explained his decision to cancel the match that was announced earlier this week.

“This was the wrong person to put in the ring and define celebrity boxing thank you,” he tweeted from his handle@hollywoodbox11. ”I walked away from av [sic] million dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I’d rather be happy and make people happy thank you.”

Feldman told TMZ he selected the musician out of a pool of more than 15,000 willing fighters to get in the ring with the infamous killer of unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin. In January Zimmerman, 30, said he has been training for months for a boxing match.

But due to concerns from the public Feldman apologized Saturday and said he did not wish to go through with it.

“I wasn’t being disrespected [sic] to anyone I had a plan here with this fight I’ll let you know soon hope everyone is happy I’m very sorry,” he tweeted. “I want to thank everyone for the good n [sic] bad comments I’ve made the choice to cancel the fight w George Zimmermann [sic] more to life then [sic] money.”

DMX’s rep Domenick Nati said in a statement that his client never formerly agreed to the fight.
The situation will not affect any of DMX’s upcoming concerts in America or around the world, he said.

But the musician, 43, told TMZ he couldn’t wait however, couldn’t wait to fight the former neighborhood watchman of a gated community in Sanford Fla. He was acquitted last summer of murder and manslaughter charges after the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon to in 2012.

“I am going to beat the living f— out of him,” DMX boasted, according to TMZ. ”I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f— him right up.”The match was supposed to be for three rounds and details were to be announced next week.

Outraged members of the public organized through a Facebook page and petitions to the White House and Change.Org to stop the event.

“No Promoter or Celebrity Boxer should ever be allowed to use racial tension to profit,” the White House petition reads.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-54703875686572673492014-02-09T04:57:00.000+00:002014-02-09T04:57:05.814+00:00PHOTOS: Arsene Wenger falls down after the defeat at Liverpool on Saturday.

One of two Iranian navy warships arrives to dock at Port Sudan in the Red Sea state December 8, 2012. A second visit by Iranian warships to Sudan in little over a month risks widening divisions inside the African country’s government and upsetting its Gulf Arab donors.

A senior Iranian naval commander says his country has sent several warships to the Atlantic Ocean, close to U.S. maritime borders for the first time. The commander of Iran’s Northern Navy Fleet, Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, is quoted by the official IRNA news agency as saying Saturday that the vessels have already begun the journey to the Atlantic Ocean via waters near South Africa.

Iranian officials said last month that the fleet consisted of a destroyer and a logistic helicopter carrier, which will be on a three-month mission.

Haddad says the fleet is approaching U.S. maritime borders for the first time. The Islamic Republic considers the move as a response to U.S. naval deployments near its own coastlines. The U.S. Navy’s 5th fleet is based in nearby Bahrain.
It's official ... X gonna give it to George Zimmerman -- TMZ has learned, rapper DMX has just been named Zimmerman's opponent in his upcoming celebrity boxing match.

Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman tells us, DMX was selected out of 15,000 applicants ... all of whom wanted a piece of Zimmerman in the ring after he issued the open challenge to fight anyone willing to take him.

But no one wanted to beat Zimmerman's ass more than DMX.

As we first reported, DMX promised to massacre Zimmerman in the ring if he got the chance. To be exact, he said, "I am going to beat the living f**k out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up." He then said he'd literally piss on George's face.

Zimmerman might actually have a chance though -- as we reported, he's been training pretty hard for months ... oh yeah, and he's only 30 years old. DMX is 43.

The boxing match will be 3 rounds.

The date, time, and location of the fight will be announced at a news conference next Wednesday.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-13457733137384347642014-02-05T08:09:00.000+00:002014-02-05T08:09:46.813+00:00Michael Essien included in Milan’s Champions League squad

Arsenal’s brand new kit sponsors will reportedly help the club fund a big money deal to sign Mario Balotelli at the end of the season.

The Gunners, who announced a partnership with sportswear giants Puma last month, are said to be keen on signing AC Milan striker Balotelli in the summer.

But amid talk that his giant price has put Arsene Wenger off making a bid, Puma are believed to have stepped in to offer an alternative.

According to reports in Italy, the company wants to help Arsenal finance a deal to bring the former Manchester City striker to the Emirates Stadium.

Puma, who also sponsor Balotelli, want two of their key brands together, and could even stump up as much as £15million of any deal to make the transfer happen.

The 23-year-old has been in stunning form since moving to Milan from City, scoring 25 goals in just 38 matches.
Balotelli is rated at about £40million by Milan.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-32642492480374211322014-02-05T07:51:00.001+00:002014-02-05T07:51:24.722+00:00 Ghana Rlg inaugurates Technology City in Nigeria

West Africa’s biggest ICT and mobile phone manufacturing giant, Rlg, continues to spread its tentacles across the continent with the inauguration of a $50 million Technology City in Illesha, Nigeria.

The “Rlg-Adulawo Technology City,” which represents a public-private partnership between Rlg Communications and the State of Osun, is a world-class facility that will create over 10,000 jobs, both directly and indirectly in Nigeria.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Group Chairman of Rlg, Roland Agambire, noted that although the African continent is the wealthiest, we have not been able to maximize our full potential so Rlg is a pan-African company that has an ambitious dream that will lead Africa out of poverty.

“Africa is wealthier than any part of the world. Rlg has a dream that will establish young people to lead and make wealth, be a tool of happiness [rather] than create war and destruction within ourselves.”

He said the inauguration of the Rlg-Adulawo Technology City gives one an idea of what the “Hope City” project will do for Africa. He noted that what fostered partnership between his company and the State of Osun was the zeal and passion within the state itself and in the youth to develop themselves.

“This shows that the youth are passionate to develop themselves. All they need is a visionary leader and they have a visionary leader, Governor Aregbesola. What is lacking is how we can open the way. This assembly plant is one of the best tools to begin to create jobs within the Adulawo Technology City enclave,” he stated.

Mr Agambire was full of praise for the exemplary and visionary leadership of the Governor of the State of Osun, Honourable Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, without whose support the project would not have been successful.

“When you have a vision, you expect the assurance of the elderly to initiate it and that is what I saw a few minutes ago and this is the manifestation of success to come. For me, the first thing that encouraged us was the fact that Governor saw this on a long goal and said, ‘Look, young man, I will not partner anywhere but to partner with a pan-African company that believes in the things I believe in, so if you say mobile phone repairs is job creation, then I believe you and I will do it,’ and that is what you are seeing today,” he revealed.

He added: “Our first investment of $50 million plus is to show you the commitment that we are here to stay.” He urged all Nigerians to endeavour to use an Rlg device to keep the job creation dream alive since all the revenue generated will go back to benefit the State of Osun, indeed, the country as a whole.

“Nigerians are passionate about themselves. I want to see this commitment from this place that every single Nigerian will believe in this and that everybody will use an rlg device. I will need this commitment because this is what will keep all of us alive. Nigerians have created a billionaire in Africa through cement. Today, I want Nigerians also to create a billionaire in Africa through technology and it is a possibility,” Mr Agambire assured. Speaking in an interview with The General Telegraph, the Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, could not hide his happiness on account of the Technology City.

“It means growth; it means development; it means prosperity; it means joy and happiness. It means fulfilment to a large segment of our people,” an elated governor told this reporter.

He said ICT is the life of the current state of human development. “We proposed a training offer to Rlg and they found it irresistible. That is what first of all cemented our relationship and from there we are here, Technology City.”

He outlined some of the benefits that the State of Osun will be deriving from its partnership with Rlg Communications.

“We shall have over 800 people directly working here in shifts in this factory alone but when the city gets to its highest potential, there can be close to 10,000 people here so I am happy, satisfied and fulfilled from only that angle. But when you now factor into it the revenue retention to the state, it is simply enormous. Now, if you add to the collateral advantage, you are talking about 800 in direct employment, and tied to the direct 800 in employment will be almost 15,000 opportunities for people who will be repairing the handsets, those who will be marketing the handsets and what have you. So I am fully impressed and happy about it that we have brought it here at this time.” Governor Aregbesola said he used the “carrot” of training 20,000 youth to bring about this $50 million investment.

“Our investment is innovation; we used our training needs to bring in this investment. We bought the land that this property is built on and we equally supported this investment with 500KVA transformer. So they are training our people for us whom they will ultimately employ but for the payment we are making for the training, we have forced this investments. That is all we invested,” he added.

Honourable Aregbesola, urged other investors to come on board to help make the Rlg-Adulawo Technology City the biggest in Africa since, as he put it, Osun is the safest place in Nigeria where an investor’s investments will grow.

“This is the first phase of our Technology City. We are pushing for the development of a city that will be solely dedicated to technology so we are inviting all other investors to come and invest here in all aspects of technology because we are growing our economy to be strong and healthy,” he added.

The Rlg-Adulawo Technology City is a state-of-the-art assembling plant located on the Illesha Akure Expressway in Nigeria. The plant has the capacity to assemble 5,000 mobile phones and 2,500 computers a day, making a minimum of 7,500 electronic devices a day. It has a fully furnished training centre called the Rlg Institute of Technology, Research & Development (R & D) lab, corporate office building and a staff quarters located just behind the training centre. It also has two big warehouses. Also installed at the facility is Green Technology Biogas Plant, which will provide cooking gas for the staff quarters. It has the capacity to generate 3KVA of electricity which can be used for lighting.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-66567074823714085612014-02-05T07:03:00.001+00:002014-02-05T07:03:27.731+00:00MUSIC VIDEO:2Face – Rainbow Remix Feat. Paul Walker died a wealthy man, and he left his entire estate in the hands of his 15-year-old daughter Meadow.

The Fast & Furious star, 40, who was killed in a fiery crash in November, was worth $25 million, according to his will obtained by PEOPLE.But according to the documents, the inheritance came with complications.

Walker’s dad, who is the named executor on the will, petitioned to have the court appoint the late actor’s mom Cheryl as Meadow’s legal guardian. But Walker’s daughter currently lives with her mom, Rebecca Soteros.

According to what Walker requested, his dad also requested to have Cheryl be the guardian of the funds.

It’s no surprise Walker left his all in the hands of his only child.

“He told me recently he was the happiest he’d ever been,” Walker’s close friend Brandon Birtell told PEOPLE shortly after his passing. “It was directly because of the growing relationship with his daughter and the clarity that brought to his life.”
Chelsea’s Ghana international midfielder Michael Essien has joined AC Milan, the Italian Serie A side announced on Friday.

Essien, 31, arrives on a free transfer having signed an 18-month deal with the northern outfit placed 11th in Serie A, the Italian press reported.

Essien is the first recruit of new Milan coach Clarence Seedorf, and he could play in their Champions League last 16 tie against Atletico Madrid next month with two Milan midfielders suspended for the match — Riccardo Montolivo and fellow Ghana international Sulley Muntari.

Essien started his career with Corsican side Bastia (2000-2003), making his name at French club Lyon (2003-2005) before joining Chelsea (2005-2012).

He teamed up again with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid (2012-2013) and headed back to England with the Portuguese coach to Chelsea this season, but has failed to feature for the English side.

Essien expressed his excitement about playing under Seedorf with the likes of Mario Balotelli and Kaka and thanked the Chelsea hierarchy for letting him join the San Siro side

“I can’t wait to play for Milan,” the Ghana international, 31, told reporters after landing in Italy on Friday. “Kaka and Balotelli are great players.

“I joined Milan because of Seedorf. I spoke with him two days ago. Seedorf is a great man and I hope that he will also become a great manager.

“I’m happy to be at Milan. They’re a great club. l will do my best for them.

“I want to thank [Chelsea chairman] Roman Abramovich, the squad and Mourinho, who gave me the chance to join Milan.”

Essien will be the latest expense-free arrival at Milan in the January window on the back of Keisuke Honda’s free transfer from CSKA Moscow and Adil Rami’s loan move from Valencia.

The Ghanaian is eligible to compete in the Champions League for Seedorf’s men – with Atletico Madrid in the last 16 their next obstacle – as he did not feature for Chelsea earlier in the campaign.
A Nigerian man has received 20 lashes after an Islamic court in the northern city of Bauchi convicted him of homosexual offences.

Under Islamic law, courts can punish homosexual acts by stoning to death. But the judge said he took into account that the Muslim man, Mubarak Ibrahim, 20, carried out the acts seven years ago, and had stopped the practice.

In Nigeria, homosexual acts are illegal under both Islamic and secular law and restrictions have been tightened.

Earlier this month, President Goodluck Jonathan signed into law a bill which bans same-sex marriages, gay groups and shows of same-sex public affection.

Most states in the predominantly Muslim north of Nigeria have adopted Islamic law, known as Sharia, since the end of military rule in 1999.

Along with Mr Ibrahim, 11 other Muslims and a Christian man were arrested last month accused by the authorities of being homosexuals.

He was also ordered to pay a fine of about $30 (£18).

Mr Ibrahim told the BBC he was relieved that Judge Nuhu Muhammad had been lenient on him and had not sentenced him to death.

The BBC's Ishaq Khalid was in court when Mr Ibrahim was lashed with a whip, made of animal skin smeared with oil.

Mr Ibrahim, who had pleaded guilty to the charge, was ordered to lie on a bench, and an official whipped his back in front of a packed courtroom, our correspondent says.

Mr Ibrahim screamed in pain while being lashed, but was able to walk afterwards, he adds.

The trial of two other men was adjourned to 23 January.

The fate of the nine other men arrested on the same charge is unclear but on Wednesday the Sharia Commission in Bauchi said the Christian would be tried by a "conventional court", not an Islamic court.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-71532387053723517512014-01-17T05:55:00.000+00:002014-01-17T05:55:13.549+00:00China to build high-speed rail to Singapore, via Laos

China is giving a steely infrastructural hug to its southeast Asian neighbors, with plans to roll out a massive high-speed rail system to crisscross Laos, Thailand, and Malaysia en route to Singapore. Laos, which currently boasts a humble two miles of functioning railway track, is in for a bit of a shock.

The Lao government, the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, met with Li Keqiang last year and welcomed the plan with open arms. As The Telegraph reports, Laos could be potentially transformed or crippled by the deal:

Constructing it will be a mammoth engineering task. It will require 154 bridges and 76 tunnels, as well as 31 train stations, just to get the line the 260 miles from Boten on the Laos-China border to Laos’ capital Vientiane. An estimated 20,000 Chinese workers will be needed to build it, with the completion date set for 2019.

Using untapped minerals as collateral, Laos plans to borrow £4.5 billion from Beijing to pay for its section of the railway. Equivalent to almost 90 per cent of Laos’s annual GDP of £5.2 billion, the loan will instantly make Laos the world’s fourth most-indebted nation after Japan, Zimbabwe and Greece.

Many international financial bodies regard the loan as a disaster waiting to happen. The Asian Development Bank has described it simply as “unaffordable”.

Just servicing the yearly interest on the loan will amount to almost 20% of Laos’s annual government spending.

In short, the Chinese government will essentially own Laos after the check clears, but with a national product of about 8.5 billion USD, there are several individual Chinese billionairs who could purchase the country in full .

The main railways are aimed for completion by 2019, with expansions planned into Burma/Myanmar, Thailand, and Cambodia in the years to come.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-79384771478006127542014-01-17T05:47:00.000+00:002014-01-17T05:47:07.886+00:00VIDEO: Bracket – Mama AfricaAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-87085088909788257002014-01-13T13:20:00.001+00:002014-01-13T13:20:06.392+00:00Gossip !Beyonce declines Kim K's offer to be a bridesmaid

“Beyonce is saying “I don’t” to Kim Kardashian’s invite to be a bridesmaid, leaving Kim humiliated. “Kim has been boasting to pals that Bey wants to be a bridesmaid, but Beyonce turned her down flat,” while Beyonce plays nice with Kim, she finds her family unbearable.”

Beyonce doesn’t really care for the Kardashian family and she barely even talks to Kim, so she was shocked when she got a voicemail asking to be a bridesmaid.

In 2001 the world began talking about the Bric countries - Brazil, Russia, India and China - as potential powerhouses of the world economy. The term was coined by economist Jim O'Neill, who has now identified the "Mint" countries - Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey - as emerging economic giants. Here he explains why.
So what is it about the so-called Mint countries that makes them so special? Why these four countries?

A friend who has followed the Bric story noted sardonically that they are probably "fresher" than the Brics. What they really share beyond having a lot of people, is that at least for the next 20 years, they have really good "inner" demographics - they are all going to see a rise in the number of people eligible to work relative to those not working.

This is the envy of many developed countries but also two of the Bric countries, China and Russia. So, if Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey get their act together, some of them could match Chinese-style double-digit rates between 2003 and 2008.
Milan sack Massimiliano Allegri as coach following Sassuolo defeat

AC Milan have confirmed the sacking of head coach Massimiliano Allegri with immediate effect in the wake of the Rossoneri's 4-3 loss against Sassuolo on Sunday.

Allegri recently announced that he would leave Milan at the end of the 2013-14 campaign, but the club decided on Monday to relieve him right away following their ongoing struggles this term.

With Allegri out of the Giuseppe Meazza, Milan assistant coach Mauro Tassotti has been handed the caretaker reins and thanked the departed trainer for his efforts at the club.

The Italian giants said in a press release: "AC Milan have dismissed the coach of the first team and his staff, Massimiliano Allegri, with immediate effect.

"AC Milan would like to thank Mr. Allegri and his staff for the work done and we wish them the best professional success. The team is to be provisionally coached by Mauro Tassotti."

Milan currently sit 11th in Serie A with 22 points from 19 games, having won just five games in the first half of the season, and the San Siro side have consequently opted to dismiss Allegri.

The 46-year-old took charge of Milan in the summer of 2010 and immediately guided the Rossoneri to the Serie A title in his first season at the helm.

However, Milan had to settle for second place the following campaign, while they came in only third last term after selling star players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the season.

Milan's slide has continued in 2013-14 as they find themselves fighting against relegation rather than challenging for the Champions League spots, eventually leading to Allegri's exit.

The Livorno-born coach previously was in charge of Aglianese, SPAL, Grosseto, Lecco, Sassuolo and Cagliari.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453371944158270655.post-52612583871815082302014-01-13T09:56:00.000+00:002014-01-13T09:56:08.948+00:00Chelsea's Samuel Eto'o Tops List Of Wealthiest EPL Foreign-Born

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o is the wealthiest foreign-born player in the English Premier League, with a net worth of $64 million, according to a survey conducted by Singapore-based Wealth-X.

The company, with one of the world’s largest collection of curated research on ultra-high-net worth individuals, puts Welsh footballer of Manchester United Ryan Giggs as the second-wealthiest foreign-born player in the EPL with a net worth of $45 million.

Eto’o’s team mate at Stamford Bridge Fernando Torres, who hails from Spain, comes third with $42 million.

Manchester City stars Yaya Toure from Ivory Coast and Argentina’s Sergio Aguero completes the top five with a net worth of $41 million and $39 million respectively.

Although the EPL is often regarded as being dominated by foreign players, the survey reveals that the combined net worth of the top ten wealthiest English-born EPL players led by Wayne Rooney with a net worth $73 million is roughly $20 million greater than the combined net worth of the wealthiest foreign-born players performing in the EPL.

“The results of this survey may come as a surprise for many, who may have been under the impression that foreign-born EPL players receive more rewarding compensation than their English counterparts,” said Michael Byrne, Wealth-X UK Director.

“English-born footballers in the EPL amass greater sponsorship and are therefore in a position to accumulate greater overall net worth. This run-down certainly produces more surprises than the English-born list.”

Eto’o, 32, who joined the Blues for a one-year deal last August, recently bought a fleet of four cars worth £4million, which included Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin and Maybach Xenatec.

“To help others you need to be happy with yourself first,” Eto’o had responded to local critics in Cameroun who described the acquisition of those cars as extravagant.
Those holding out hope that the once almighty five-man G-Unit crew of 50, Banks, Yayo, Buck and Game would squash their differences and reunite for an album, might want to give up optimism. Boss, 50 Cent recently chopped it up with Complex during a recent stop at the International CES convention in Las Vegas, and all but shot down any chance of the old gang getting back together for a record.

The rap mogul did leave the door open for a possible reunion with the original members, Banks and Yayo, but said there’s currently no energy going towards the project. “Tell me where’s the interest from G-Unit members,” questioned Fif. “You got new guys out there that don’t have the support of record companies and are working, just to sustain and generate that energy that’s there. I like to collaborate with them, did it for a long time. Maybe there’s a point that we’ll come back together and make a disc.”

When it comes to adding long-time nemesis, Game to the mix, Curtis shot that down saying, “It’ll never be five. That’ll never happen. I don’t even know if that’s possible because I don’t talk to them. I haven’t had communications with Young Buck since he been out of jail. Gunmen assassinated Libya’s deputy industry minister as he drove home from shopping in the coastal city of Sirte late on Saturday in an attack security officials blamed on hardline Islamist militants.

Libya is still plagued by widespread violence and targetted killings two years after the civil war ousted Muammar Gaddafi, with militants, militia gunmen and former rebels often resort to force to impose demands on the fragile government.

The minister, Hassan al-Drowi, was shot several times, a senior security official said, asking not to be identified.

'They opened fire from another car while he was driving, he was shot multiple times,' the official said.

'Later, they found explosives attached to his car. The theory is, the bomb failed, so they shot him instead.'

The official blamed Islamist militants who have been trying to extend their influence in Sirte, which has been more stable recently than the coastal capital of Tripoli, about 290 miles to the west, or the eastern city of Benghazi.

Sirte was the last bastion of Gaddafi loyalists in the war, and the strongman ruler was was killed there on Oct. 20, 2011.

Prime Minister Ali Zeidan’s central government, weakened by political infighting and with only nascent armed forces, is struggling to wrest control back from areas where militias are still dominant.

For six months, armed protesters have controlled key oil terminal ports in the east of the country to demand more political autonomy and a greater share of the OPEC country’s petroleum wealth.
In Benghazi, the armed forces have been fighting to control the influence of Ansar al-Sharia, a hardline Islamist group Washington last week designated a terrorist organisation.
The woman considered to be France's first lady, Valérie Trierweiler has been hospitalized, suffering from depression, after Closer magazine reported that her boyfriend President François Hollande was having an affair with a 41-year-old actress, Julie Gayet.

Closer magazine had published 7 pages of pictures of the President allegedly sneaking in to spend nights with Julie Gayet at her apartment. Ms Valerie Trierweiler, 49, had suffered a “severe case of the blues' on hearing the news and was taken to a Paris hospital for recovery. She currently faces the prospect of being kicked out of the Elysee Palace if the President announces it is over between them.

Ms Valerie would have to leave the Elysee, where she has an office and a staff of five working for her.

Before now, President Hollande had left his fellow Socialist politician Ségolène Royal, the mother of his four children, for Ms Valerie Trierweiler, a divorced mother of three.

But in the meantime, both President Hollande and Miss Gayet have pledged to take action against Closer magazine over alleged breaches of privacy following the exposure of their affair, though neither denies they are having an affair.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243161094577027784noreply@blogger.com0
