Lil Wayne Appeals $2 Million Quincy Jones III Lawsuit Over Documentary

Apparently Lil Wayne isn’t satisfied with a court ruling that ordered him to pay over $2 million to Quincy Jones III over a documentary about the rapper.

Wayne initially took Jones to court claiming that the film was “scandalous,” but Jones hit back with a counter claim which convinced a court.
Wayne has filed a statement of intent indicating that he thinks the court’s decision should be overthrown, according to TMZ. Wayne will have a month before he has to file a full appeal otherwise he’ll have to pay Jones.

Wayne may have good reason to appeal as the court’s ruling was made when he failed to appear, but missing the rapper had just suffered seizure like symptoms which prevented him from attending.

If Wayne doesn’t complete the appeal, he’ll have to pay up $2,195,000 for the lost profits Jones says he could have made if the rapper hadn’t blockaded the doc.
