Comic books have seen a huge resurgence over the years thanks largely in part to the Disney acquisition of Marvel, which of course allowed all of our favorite comic book characters to put on the big screen in the form of blockbuster films.

Seeing how successful Nicki Minaj has become not only within the music business, but the entertainment industry as a whole, it’s only right that the next logical step in her career is to have her very own comic book.

That’s right. The YMCMB princess has gone from an aspiring rapper to a pop superstar with her own fragrance, a judge on American Idol, and now a comic book. Minaj has teamed up with Bluewater Comics to launch a special edition of their ‘Fame’ series written by Michael Troy and illustrated by Jill Lamarina.

Fame: Nicki Minaj traces one of the biggest pop sensations of this decade from her Caribbean roots through her upbringing in Queens, New York and into a career as a pop diva who has teamed up with all the mega-stars like Justin Bieber, Madonna and Britney Spears.

The comic book is currently available in digital format for $1.99 from iTunes, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, ComiXology, Google Books and more. For those of you looking for the physical copy, you can head on over to Comic Flea Market to pay the $3.99 asking price for a Nicki Minaj comic book.
