The family lawyer of Oscar Pistorius has said the Paralympic athlete's brother faces a culpable homicide charge for a 2010 road death.
Kenny Oldwage would not confirm on Sunday the details of the Carl Pistorius case, but the news compounded problems for the family after Oscar was charged with premeditated murder in the death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Carl was allegedly involved in a collision with a woman motorcyclist and was supposed to be in court last Thursday, as his brother awaited a bail hearing, according to local media reports.

Oscar was released on bail on Friday, and his brother was later seen driving to the home of their uncle Arnold early on Sunday in Waterkloof, a suburb in the capital, Pretoria, where Oscar is staying.
The problems surrounding Carl are the latest twist in a case that has transfixed South Africa and much of the world. The revelation of the culpable homicide charge immediately caused a stir.
"It's also doubly sad because it's involved with Oscar and his brother and all the family – so they have double sort of trouble. So, not good," said a Johannesburg resident, Jim Plester.
Oscar Pistorius says he killed Steenkamp accidentally, opening fire after mistaking her for an intruder in his home.
On Saturday, the family attempted to lower its profile on social media amid claims that Carl's Twitter account had been hacked. They shut down all social media accounts connected to Oscar's brother and his sister Aimee.
The Pistorius family has yet to comment publicly on the claims surrounding Carl.
