Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah loses father ahead of Sudan clash

Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah is mourning the death of his father who passed on Tuesday morning in Accra. Evans Boye died after failing to recover from an unnamed illness.

The Red Bull Salzburg player had arrived in Ghana two days earlier before the sad incident occurred for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan. This brings to four the number of Black Stars players who have lost either of their parents in a little over a year.

Anthony Annan, John Boye and Asamoah Gyan have all lost one of their parents. It is unknown if the centre-back will be allowed some time off for the team’s training which begins on Tuesday afternoon.
