“This is a regional capital and a border region yet it has nothing. I am committed to constructing a dual-carriage road and an airport, at least, to an appreciable level before I leave here as a Minister,” he said.
Nii Afotey Agbo gave the assurance when some old students and representatives of the Board of Governors of Anlo Senior High School (ANSECO), his former school, called on him at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council.
He said he was committed to building roads, markets, hospitals, schools and bringing unprecedented development to the region.
“I am focused to do things that people have never seen in this region,” Nii Afotey Agbo said.
“My mind is running like a machine to bring development to this place,” he stated.
Mr Joseph Norkplim Adika, Chief Executive Officer of Jubilee Radio and Kekeli Radio in Keta and Ho respectively, who led the delegation, commended Nii Afotey Agbo for his vision.
He also expressed gratitude to Nii Afotey Agbo for delivering a pledge of 100 bags of cement to ANSECO recently.
The delegation presented a citation and two pieces of Kente cloth to the Regional Minister.
