According to local affiliate KDKA, Swift's security team tipped off authorities to some disturbing notes that 28-year-old Joseph Jackson reportedly posted on his Facebook page in which he wrote, "Taylor Swift must perish and die."
But that's not the only frightening thing the pop star had to worry about.
The Clarksburg, Pa., native was among the 57,000 people who attended Swift's show at Heinz Field, where he held up handwritten signs reading "I Luv You," and "Taylor Is With Satan, Repent."
Law enforcement subsequently approached Jackson in the stands, where they say he quickly became agitated. A search did not turn up any weapons, but he was placed in handcuffs and booked into Allegheny County Jail on trespassing and resisting arrest charges.
Per the news station, a hearinag will not take place until Jackson undergoes a complete mental evaluation.
Neiither a rep for Swift nor a spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh Police Department could be reached for comment on the matter.
But the hitmaker's camp did purportedly offer Jackson a full refund on his ticket.
How's that for consolation?
Swift's Steel Town scare occurred two days after the 23-year-old country crooner threw a Fourth of July house party on the beach with her "touring family," and then posted some pics of the festivities on her Facebook page.
When she's not having to fend off potential stalkers, Swift's continuing to entertain fans on her current Red Tour. The next stop on the U.S. leg is set for July 13 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. After wrapping things up on Sept. 21 in Nashville, Tenn., she'll then head across the Pacific for dates in Australia and New Zealand.
Taylor also just dropped online the new music video for her single, "Red," which features footage from some of her most recent live performances.
