I would’ve killed George Zimmerman if I was Trayvon Martin’s father – T.I

T.I. gives credit to the family of Trayvon Martin for their level-headedness throughout the George Zimmerman trial.

The death of seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin and thehighly-publicized trial that followed remains a much-discussed topic of conversation with many still voicing their opinion on the matter. Among those to offer their thoughts on the George Zimmerman trial was Atlanta rapper T.I. who didn’t hold back when it concerned comments he made this week.

During an interview with Power 98 FM, T.I. revealed that he would have taken justice into his own hands if he was the father of Trayvon Martin and would have instead found himself on trial.

“Man, it was some bullshit…My hat goes off to the Martin family, because if it was me and my child, it wouldn’t have been no trial,” said T.I., according to Radio.com. “I’d have been on trial. It would’ve been the trial of the father who killed the man who killed [his child]. That would have been my story. My hat goes off because they [the Martin family] are much more clear and level-headed thinkers than I. I definitely think something needs to be done, but it’s just another harsh reminder of the world that we live in.”

T.I.’s comments about the Zimmerman trial comes shortly after fellow rapper Rick Ross released “I Wonder Why,” a record in which the Maybach Music Group founder compares himself to Martin and even uses audio from the trial in the song’s outro.

Later in his interview with Power 98 FM, the Hustle Gang leader touched on his upcoming album,Trouble Man II: He Who Wears the Crown. While the rapper turned reality star didn’t reveal many album specifics, he did promise a project that would make whoever decides to distribute the album very “happy.”

“I’ve been working on this one since the last one dropped,” T.I. revealed. “I haven’t decided exactly where I’m going to take [the new album] yet as far as a company for distribution, but wherever I take it, there’s going to be some happy people in that building.”
