Nigeria Army Seize 124 Bags of Cannabis

The Nigerian Army has seized about 124 bags of substances weighing 50 kilogramme each suspected to be cannabis, which was later transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This was disclosed Tuesday by the Commanding Officer, Guards Brigade Workshop, Lt-Col Adeyinka Adereti who displayed the seized drugs to journalists at Aguiyi-Ironsi Military Cantonement, Abuja.

Adereti said that on Sunday troops deployed along the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway, Abaji arrested a J5 bus with registration number; Plateau XB 572 BLD and upon search, found 31 bags of substance suspected to be cannabis.
