Presby Church suspends 'gay' pastor

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana has suspended Reverend Kingsford Kusi-Kyere who is alleged to have engaged in homosexual acts, pending police investigations.

Seven young men aged between 20 and 28 accused Rev. Kusi-Kyere, head pastor of the Abokobi branch of the Church in Accra, of engaging in homosexual acts with them.

The men are all workers on the Church’s farm being managed by Rev. Kusi-Kyere. They claim to be victims of the nefarious act of the reverend minister.

Acting Public Relations of the church Rev. John Adjei confirmed this to Citi News Monday.
According to him, Rev. Kusi-Kyere has been asked to step aside until the final determination of the case.

“He [Rev. Kusi-Kyere] is no longer the manager of the Agric station, and he is also not in charge of any congregation. He has been asked to proceed on leave pending the final outcome of the police investigations" he added.
