At press time at 8p.m., the lights were still out.The Public Relations Officer of the VRA, Mr Samuel Fletcher, told the Daily Graphic that it was due to a technical challenge and officials were still trying to find out what triggered the system collapse.
The Director of Public Relations at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Mr William Boateng, said because of the break in the distribution of power from the operating system of the VRA, there would be a cut in power supply to its customers.
He apologised to consumers for the inconvenience caused and said all would be restored as soon as the ECG got supply from the VRA.
