Kenyatta vows to "hunt down" Awoonor's killers

President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya has described as “senseless”, “heinous” and “cowardly”, Al-Shabab’s terrorist attack on non-Muslims in the Westgate shopping mall in the country’s capital, Nairobi, and vowed to “hunt down” those responsible.

At least, 39 people, including Ghanaian intellectual, Prof. Kofi Awoonor, died in Saturday morning’s attack.

About 150 others, including Prof. Awoonor’s son, sustained injuries.

A statement issued by the Kenyan President said: “We shall hunt down the perpetrators wherever they run to. We shall get them. We shall punish them for this heinous crime”.
