Victor Moses Joins Liverpool On Loan

English Premier League side, Liverpool, are likely to get more Nigerian fans in the days ahead as reports coming from England suggests that the Reds have sealed a season long loan-deal for Chelsea and Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses.

The deal for Moses is coming on the eve of the transfer deadline as Coach Brendan Rodgers attempts to dot the I’s and cross the t’s for Liverpool who are gunning for at least a top four finish this season having missed out in recent times.

Moses was at the Merseyside on Saturday for his medicals as he had to leave Stamford Bridge for Anfield to guarantee himself more playing time this season; a privilege that has eluded him since the return of Jose Mourinho to Chelsea.

According to the U.K. Guardian, Liverpool has agreed a £1m loan deal and would also pay Moses’ £55,000 weekly wage throughout the loan period.

Moses, a key member of the Super Eagles, was signed by Chelsea from Wigan Athletic last summer for £9m, he has however further slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge after the summer arrivals of Willian and André Schürrle, as well as Kevin De Bruyne’s return from his loan spell at Werder Bremen.

Chelsea have signed a number of players capable of operating from attacking midfield and the 23‑year‑old has been granted permission to seek first-team football elsewhere and also boost his World Cup appearance for Nigeria.

Liverpool are expected to tie up all the loose ends before Monday’s transfer deadline.
