There are unconfirmed reports that the coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has thrown in his resignation.
SuperSport presenter, Robert Marawa tweeted about this saying Keshi revealed his intention to resign during an interview with a South African radio station, Metro FM.
Marawa tweeted: “Stephen Keshi has just announced that he handed over his resignation letter after the game exclusively on 083Sport@6With Marawa on MetroFM.”
There is no official statement to this effect from the coach and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is yet to speak to the press on the issue.
Stephen Keshi coached the Super Eagles to win the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa with the team beating the Stallions of Burkina Faso in a tension-soaked encounter on Sunday.
The team is scheduled to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan when they return to the country on Tuesday.
