GHANA: Vessel carrying $30million worth of cocaine intercepted in Western Region

A fishing vessel, suspected to be carrying $30 million worth of cocaine has been intercepted by a joint Navy and Air Force patrol team in the Western Region.

The vessel, "Atiyah" is believed to have been registered as a fishing trawler in James Town, a suburb of Accra, had had part of it converted and was being used to haul the cocaine.
The crew, including four Guyanese and one Ghanaian have been arrested and handed over to the National Security and the Narcotics Control Board for investigations.
